Artist

Corinne Cuéllar-Nathan was born in Zurich and was raised in a family immersed in the world of art. Continuous exposure to the great artists in museums and at home, began a process of development, which realised her own desire and ability to paint.

In the mid-1980s Corinne attended the City & Guilds of London art school. Subsequently, she studied and completed her training at the Academy für bildende Künste in Vienna, Austria.

In this electronic age, when almost everything is possible, it is still the defined limits of the canvas, which provides Corinne with the most challenge for expression and adventure.

In particular nature and its surroundings compel Corinne to explore and translate onto the canvas, the feelings and expressions, which are stirred in all of us. It is the light ripping over a lake, or the dancing shape of a tree caught in the fading twilight, which moves her to paint. In the same way the open spectacle of factory fires against a night sky, provides an irresistible subject matter. It speaks of the vitality and limitations of our own existence
